We’re already halfway through summer, but the fun is just getting started! Here in Breckenridge, the fun continues through August, September, and October as we savor the last of summer and transition into our beautiful and brief fall season. Get ready to fill your calendar with an exciting lineup of events, including music festivals, beverage tastings, mountain bike races, and art festivals. Breckenridge Backstage Theater: Young Frankenstein

June 25 – August 10, 2025

Our local theater organization, Breckenridge Backstage Theater, presents Young Frankenstein! As described on their site, “From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster musical comedy.  Every bit as relevant to audience members who will remember the original as it will be to newcomers, Young Frankenstein…is scientifically proven, monstrously good entertainment.”

Keystone Bluegrass & Beer

August 2-3, 2025

The Bluegrass & Beer Festival at Keystone is a local summer favorite! Enjoy live music all weekend long while sipping and sampling craft beers from Colorado and beyond. Bluegrass bands will be performing on three different stages throughout Keystone’s River Run Village. As always, Keystone festivals are free to attend with the option to purchase food and beverages.

Copper Country Music Festival

August 9, 2025

Copper Country Music Fest is the perfect event for all of you country music lovers visiting the high-country! The day kicks off with Woodward Summer Rail Jam, followed by mechanical bull rides and live music performances! Free live music will be twanging all afternoon long with performances by Chancey Williams and the Josh Abbott Band. Grab your cowboy boots and get ready to dance!

Breck Epic

August 10-15, 2025

BreckEpic, a six-day mountain biking race, is not for the faint of heart! The race is composed of six backcountry loops, each between 35-50 miles long, totally over 40,000 vertical feet of gain. Each of the six races begins or finishes within one mile of downtown Breckenridge. Check out their course schedule to catch a glimpse of these truly epic athletes in action!

Breckenridge International Festival of Arts

August 15-24, 2025

Breckenridge International Festival of Arts (BIFA), is a “10-day celebration of adventure, creativity, nature and play.” As described on the BreckCreate site, local, national and international artists will “create an eclectic mix of music, dance, film, visual arts and family entertainment rooted in mountain culture and the natural environment.” Visit the event schedule and be sure to attend one of many magical events of BIFA!

Keystone Mountain Town Music Festival

August 16, 2025

Another event in the Keystone Festivals series, the Mountain Town Music Fest is a one-day celebration of live music and all things Colorado! This event features live performances by The Freddy Jones Band, The Runaway Grooms, and the Salida Circus, along with local brews, face painting, and more family fun. Come celebrate the waning of summer before we catch our first glimpses of fall colors.

Breckenridge Wine Classic

August 21-23, 2025

Breckenridge Wine Classic is a weekend-long celebration of all things wine! Join us in an all-inclusive wine tasting, wine-pairing dinners, pour and explore hike and wine lunches, and more! Breckenridge Hogfest: Bacon and Bourbon

August 22-24, 2025

Bacon, bourbon, and live music? What’s not to love! Sip and sample bourbons, whiskeys, scotches, and barrel-aged spirits from master distillers while indulging on delicious bacon dishes from local food vendors. If you’re looking for an afternoon of indulgence, we’d recommend the Grand Tasting on Saturday, with bourbon education and sampling, unlimited samples of bourbon and bacon, and commemorative glass.

Great Rubber Duck Race

The annual Great Rubber Duck Race returns for its 37th year! Purchase a duck and watch it race down the Blue River alongside 10,000 others. This event supports the Summit Foundation, a local non-profit that supports Summit County in countless ways including supporting other local nonprofits, awarding scholarships, and supporting community initiatives.

Gathering at the Great Divide Art Festival

August 30-September 1, 2025

The longest-running art festival in Summit County returns for its 50th year! Artists from across the country will gather to display and sell their original works of art in a variety of mediums. The Gathering at the Great Divide is a free event with artwork available for purchase. The festival is located at Colorado Mountain College with plenty of parking on site. For a green commute option, hop on the Gray North route or take your bike down the rec path!

Keystone Oktoberfest

Swing on over to Keystone this Labor Day weekend for their Oktoberfest celebration! Raise a stein, don your lederhosen, and try your best polka to live Bavarian bands! There is never a dull moment at Keystone Oktoberfest with events like the stein hoisting contest, polka instruction, German dance performances, and Kinderfest for the kids. Grab a brat, pretzel, and a fall craft beer and bid farewell to summer!

Copper Union Peak Festival

Copper Mountain will be celebrating the end of summer with their fourth annual Union Peak Festival, “a convergence of community, art, & sport.” Get ready for free, live music performances from Third Eye Blind, The Roots, and more. Frisco Fall Fest

Frisco kicks off our short and sweet fall season with Fall Fest! Enjoy local and regional art at the Arts at Altitude art show.

This event is presented by two of our favorite local breweries, Breckenridge Brewery and Broken Compass. Join for a Grand Tasting, beer pairing dinner, Sunday brunch, or all of the above!

Silverthorne Pumpkin Fest

Spooky season is officially here! Head over to Silverthorne for their free annual pumpkin patch in Rainbow Park. This event provides more than 2,500 pumpkins for community children. There will be fun for the whole family with pumpkin painting stations, a free petting zoo, carnival games, and more!

Breckenridge Still on the Hill

The Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival, Still on the Hill, returns again this fall! Join us at the Riverwalk Center for an event filled with craft spirit tasting, craft cocktails, local restaurant small bites, and live bluegrass music! Additional events throughout the weekend include tours at local museums and hikes, workshops and tastings at local restaurants, etch-a-tasting glass art class, Breckenridge Distillery tours and more!

Frisco Trick or Treat Main Street

Celebrate Halloween in Frisco with their annual Trick-or-Treat on Main Street event! Businesses along Main Street and in the Frisco Historic Park will provide a candy to trick-or-treaters, along with additional family fun such as train rides and a Summit County Animal Shelter Halloween dog parade! Don your best costume and head to Frisco for some spooky family fun.
