II RESORT HIGHLIGHT
Hyatt Residence Club Dorado in Hacienda del Mar
Are you looking for an exotic beach vacation but don’t want to renew your passport? Would you like to travel to a place where you can have some fun in the sun during the day, and then enjoy a nice relaxing evening breeze in the tropics? This Puerto Rican vacation might be for you. Interval International has five resorts, each with its own unique feel, and my favorite is the Hyatt Residence Club Dorado in Hacienda del Mar, Dorado, Puerto Rico.
First, the resort is phenomenal! Being a Premier rated resort on Interval International, it maintains the same high standards as Grand Timber Lodge. You get access to a private beach. The Hyatt also has a large pool system, each with a restaurant and bar, so you can enjoy your refreshments while you soak in the sun. Do you play golf? The municipality of Dorado is home to one of the most well-known golf courses in the Caribbean, the Dorado Beach TPC Championship Golf Course.
If you have a car, you would be located in one of the most famous vacation towns in the Caribbean, and there’s much to explore outside of town, too. Nearby Balneario Cerro Gordo is one of the best-known beaches in Puerto Rico. Load up a cooler with some refreshments and hit the sand! If you are looking for a nice place for dinner, I recommend El Ladrillo. Here they serve all sorts of different plates—from local cuisine to tacos and steak, the menu is full of tasty treats and meals to satisfy your cravings. Don’t forget to try the “tostones!” If you are looking for something more casual, check out La Vaca Enfurecida. Here you’ll experience bar food with a Puerto Rican twist. They provide a variety of local beers in a relaxed atmosphere where you can lie back and enjoy the company of your family and friends!
