Peak 6
Peak 6, the newest addition to Breckenridge Ski Resort, debuted in 2013. Peak 6’s exclusively blue and black terrain makes it a perfect place for advanced-intermediate riders looking to challenge their abilities. There is no base area at peak 6; you must work your way over from peak 7. You can either head down peak 7 to Zendo chair or traverse through the trees via Wanderlust. Don’t let the distance deter you- peak 6 is worth the journey! There is a little bit of everything from wide-open, high-alpine runs to powder-filled trees. Expert skiers and riders can even try their hand (and their nerves!) at the Serenity and Beyond bowls hike-to chutes.

Peak 7
Peak 7 features entirely intermediate (blue) terrain and can be easily accessed directly from the gondola. The base area is understated and typically boasts shorter lift lines! Peak 7 is a great mountain to advance from green runs without feeling overwhelmed. The runs are below treeline, wide-open cruisers, but still, provide a challenge (and lots of fun trees). At the top of Independence SuperChair or the brand-new Freedom SuperChair, you will find Pioneer Crossing if you need to take a break and refuel. Intermediate to advanced skiers can take it up a notch by heading above treeline with the T-bar for a thrilling ride down Horseshoe Bowl.

Peak 8
Peak 8 is the heartbeat of Breckenridge Ski Resort! The large base area is the central hub of the mountain featuring a ticket office, Ski and Ride School, equipment rentals, restaurants and more. With several easy, groomed, green runs, peak 8 is a great place to learn a new snowsport or get back into the swing of things! Intermediate skiers can utilize the Rocky Mountain SuperChair for a mix of blues and blacks. Skiers and riders looking for challenging chutes or above treeline terrain can head toward Imperial Bowl via Imperial Express- the highest lift in North America! After a thrilling day at the resort, peak 8 provides easy access via Gondola into town for après.

Peak 9
Peak 9 has a little something for every level of skier or snowboarder! Towards the base area, the runs are mellow, green and groomed. As you climb higher, the runs become steeper- turning from blue to black. This natural progression in difficulty makes peak 9 the perfect place to improve! Beginners can stick close to Quicksilver or A-Chair, while the more advanced should take Mercury or Beaver Run Superchair. If you are looking to access terrain towards peaks 6, 7 or 8, take the Peak 8 Superconnect. Peak 9 will be the easiest mountain to access for owners and guests staying at Grand Timber Lodge- and is the closest to downtown!

Peak 10
Peak 10 is known as an experts-only peak featuring exclusively black diamond runs! Peak 10 can be accessed via Quicksilver or A-Chair of peak 9. Its six-seater Falcon SuperChair will lead you to some of the best expert groomed terrain you can find. Adrenaline seekers can head off of the groomers for phenomenal natural features- rock outcroppings, cliffs and glades. The area known as The Burn holds some of the best tree skiing in the Rockies!
