The gold mine tour ventures into the Country Boy Mine along wet and uneven surfaces. The year-round temperature of the mine is about 45 degrees Fahrenheit. For these reasons, it is recommended that visitors wear waterproof, closed-toed shoes and a jacket or coat. Country Boy Mine has rain jackets available.

There is no age-restriction, but all children must be accompanied by an adult. Keep in mind that there will be brief, loud noise during the drilling demonstration. Children 3 and under are free.
