Get ready to fill your calendar with an exciting lineup of events, including music and art festivals. And of course, the season’s most anticipated event: Breckenridge Oktoberfest! Breckenridge Bluegrass & Beer

September 11 – 13

Breckenridge Bluegrass & Beer festival, formerly Strings, Ciders & Sours, is a weekend-long event where you can taste your way through a bevy of beverages from local and national craft breweries while enjoying live bluegrass from Grass It Up. This event is presented by two of our favorite local breweries, Breckenridge Brewery and Broken Compass. Join us for a Grand Tasting, beer pairing dinner, Sunday brunch, or all of the above!

Keystone Oktoberfest

September 5

Swing on over to Keystone this Labor Day weekend for their Oktoberfest celebration! Raise a stein, don your lederhosen, and dance your best polka to live Bavarian bands! There is never a dull moment at Keystone Oktoberfest, with activities like the stein-hoisting contest, polka instruction, German dance performances, and Kinderfest for the kids. Grab a brat and a pretzel and toast the end of summer with a fall craft beer! Prost!

Gathering at the Great Divide Art Festival

September 5 – 7

The longest-running art festival in Summit County returns for its 51st year! Artists from across the country will gather to display and sell their original works of art in a variety of media. The Gathering at the Great Divide is a free event with artwork available for purchase. The festival is located at Colorado Mountain College, with plenty of on-site parking. For a green commute option, hop on the Gray North route or take your bike down the rec path!

Frisco Fall Fest and Arts at Altitude

September 11 – 12

Frisco kicks off our short and sweet fall season with Fall Fest! Celebrate the turning of the seasons with pretzels and brats from Ein Prosit, a German beer garden that benefits Friends of Dillon Ranger District, live music, make-and-take art projects, and more. Enjoy local and regional art at the Arts at Altitude art show.

Breckenridge Oktoberfest

September 25 – 27

The event that needs no introduction! This year marks the 30th annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest celebration. Breckenridge Oktoberfest is the most anticipated event of the fall, cherished by locals and visitors alike. This three-day celebration in downtown Breckenridge offers all of your favorite Oktoberfest activities. There will be beer drinking, pretzel eating, and all the polka dancing you can handle! Enjoy live music, food vendors, stein hoisting contests, and more at this iconic Breckenridge event.

Keystone Scenic Gondola Bonus Weekends

September 11 – 13 & 18 – 20

For two weekends, the River Run Gondola at Keystone will be reopening for scenic gondola rides. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the fall colors sprawling across the Continental Divide! You can also access high-alpine hiking trails and immerse yourself in the beauty of the shifting seasons!

Breck Film Fest

Rated by USA Today as one of the “Top 20 Film Festivals” in the country, the Breckenridge Film Festival returns for its 46th year, bringing four days of independent films and filmmaker conversations to downtown Breckenridge. Join us for nightly film screenings at the Riverwalk Center, Filmmaker Q&A panels, parties, and more! Don’t miss one of Colorado’s longest-running film festivals! The full schedule is set to be announced on September 1st!

Frisco Trick or Treat on Main Street

October 31

Celebrate Halloween in Frisco with their annual Trick-or-Treat on Main Street event! Businesses along Main Street decorate their storefronts and provide candy to trick-or-treaters. This family-friendly event is perfect for everyone, even your well-behaved pup! Come be a part of the Summit County Animal Shelter Halloween dog parade, or let your kids enjoy a little train ride through town. This Halloween, be sure to don your best costume and head to Frisco for some spooky family fun.

Dia De Muertos & Latin Festival

See Breckenridge come alive with color, music, art, and tradition as we honor loved ones who have passed and celebrate the rich heritage of our local Hispanic and Latin communities during the Dia de Muertos and Latin Festival! Enjoy live music and dancing, explore the artisan market, and check out hands-on workshops during this two-day celebration of togetherness and community.

Wake Up Breck

November 5

Wake Up Breck is an annual tradition in Breckenridge to celebrate the start of ski season! The day before opening day (November 5 this year), you are invited to head downtown for a free commemorative mug and cup of coffee! This event supports non-profits working within the community, and those participating are encouraged to donate if they can. The details of this year’s non-profit partner and list of participating coffee shops is TBD.

Breckenridge Nordic Center Annual Ski Swap

This November, the Breckenridge Nordic Center is excited to host its annual ski swap! This used gear sale is a fantastic opportunity for you to score some great equipment and possibly discover a new hobby. Don’t miss out on the chance to connect with fellow winter sports enthusiasts while finding everything you need for the upcoming season!

13th Annual Turkey Day 5K

November 27

The Annual Frisco Turkey Day 5k returns for its 13th year this Thanksgiving, presented by The Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute! Join us in Frisco to burn a few calories before the Thanksgiving feasts commence. Registration for this race supports Frisco Elementary’ s S.T.E.M. programs and walkers/runners are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation to benefit the Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC) food pantry. The race will take place on the Frisco recreation path and side streets. Conditions may be snowy, so come prepared with appropriate shoes and clothing!

Wassail Days

November 28 – December 6

Join us in Frisco for the annual Wassail Days celebration, a warm and festive kickoff to the holiday season! Enjoy Wassail, a delicious hot spiced cider traditionally shared with friends and neighbors during this time of year. During Wassail Days, visitors can collect stamps on their “12 Sips of Wassail” card by sampling twelve unique varieties at participating local businesses and redeem the completed card for a commemorative Wassail Days mug, while supplies last, at the Frisco/Copper Information Center! Don’t miss out on this cozy community experience!
