Greetings from your family at the Grand Timber Lodge!

It has been a strong early season, with over 80 inches of snow before Christmas! All signs are pointing to another great year. We kicked off Ullr Fest earlier than usual this year, and the Norse god listened!

The International Snow Sculpture Championship returns to Breckenridge again this year. This amazing contest featuring 16 teams from around the world will be here January 20 through 29. Come see what these magicians can do with a 20-ton block of snow and ice. Sculpting will take place January 20 through 24, the awards will be announced on January 24 and public viewing will run from January 25 through January 29. Come check out this amazing event!

Have a safe and fun winter season!

Here’s a peek at what has been happening at the resort:

  • We have a new bedding configuration in the rooms. We’ve gotten rid of the bed skirts and decorative pillows we had for years and replaced them with larger pillows and a smaller decorative pillow to provide a clean GTL look. We made this change in response to much-appreciated feedback from owners and guests.
  • The new Grand Room design is finished. It took a while, but we finally completed the decor, carpet, paint and woodwork. Come check it out when you get a chance!
  • Did you know that Grand Timber Lodge has a library? This quiet space has been open for over a year now. It’s a great place for owners and guests to work, read a book or enjoy some downtime away from the family. Come check it out on the third floor of Building 2 next time you are here.
  • Christy Sports is in full swing for the winter season. Let them know you are our guest, and you’ll get a 20% discount. Take advantage of Christy’s. It’s a great way to demo new skis or a board or leave your cumbersome gear at home along with the headache of transporting
