Letter from the Assistant General Manager

Greetings from your family in Breckenridge!

As spring winds down, we’re jumping full-speed into another epic summer in the mountains! The sun is out, the days are long, and the warm weather makes it the perfect time to soak up those stunning Summit County views. From live music and food festivals to outdoor adventures and local events, there’s always something exciting happening. Be sure to check in with our awesome concierge team—they’ve got the inside scoop on everything going on nearby so you don’t miss a beat!

Here is what is going on around the property:

  • Unit refreshes are now complete. These upgrades have been a welcomed improvement, helping keep GTL up to date with current standards and a modern look. As part of these upgrades, the bathrooms have been completely remodeled, and the units now feature brand-new flooring—bringing a fresh, modern feel throughout!
  • E-Bikes are officially here for the summer season at GTL! Full-day and half-day rentals are now available through the app. Pricing starts at just $60 for a half day and $80 for a full day—well below the going rates in Breckenridge. Bonus for owners: use code OWNERS10 to enjoy an exclusive 10% discount! Let the summer rides begin!
  • Live music is happening at The Boot every Saturday evening from 6pm-8pm! Swing by for some tasty food, good tunes, and a fun atmosphere.
  • Join us in welcoming our new Housekeeping Manager, Esteban Rodriguez! Esteban brings a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives that will help take our property to the next level. We’re thrilled to have him on board and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll make as part of the Grand Timber Lodge family!
  • Buildings 1 & 2 just received brand-new roofing to complement the ongoing unit refreshes. It’s exciting to see both the inside and outside of the property getting a fresh, updated look!
  • Check out what’s new in the Market! We’ve just stocked brand-new GTL-branded wine tumblers and water bottles—perfect for sipping and relaxing by the pool. Grab yours before they’re gone!

Summer is in full swing, don’t forget to check the forecast! Be sure to pack those rain jackets and sunscreen. Afternoon showers are rolling in a bit later this year, so take advantage of those sunny mornings to get your outdoor adventures in before the clouds make an appearance!

Event Date Changes

Get ready for the 2025-2026 ski season! As you start planning your winter adventures, we want to give you a heads-up: some of Breckenridge’s most popular events have new dates.

  • Ullr Fest: December 18-20, 2025

Important Owner Reminder

Some of our valued BGV owners have recently reported unsolicited cold calls, letters, and emails from companies offering fractional real estate ownership exit options. Unfortunately, some of these companies are not legitimate, so we encourage you to promptly report any suspicious forms of communication to BGV’s Accounts Receivable Management Team at 888-783-8883 Ext. 3048.

Here are some basic indicators and tips from the Colorado State Attorney General’s Office to help protect you from potential scams:

  1. You receive unsolicited offers with promises such as, but not limited to, “We have a buyer for your ownership” or “We guarantee you will make a large profit on the sale.”
  2. The reseller or transfer company only uses a PO box or other mail forwarding service and won’t provide a physical address.
  3. You are asked to make an immediate and/or up-front payment by wire transfer, money order, or prepaid gift or money card.
  4. Refuse to pay for appraisals, inspections, or other services – scammers use these to avoid state prohibitions on collecting up-front fees, and these services are rarely needed to complete an ownership resale or transfer.
  5. The offer suggests an upcoming significant increase in association dues or other expense increases.
  6. Be wary of any solicitation or offer of purchase that requires you to use a resale, transfer, or escrow company of the buyer’s choice.

We understand that there may come a time when an owner needs to transition out of their fractional real estate ownership. While BGV does not currently offer an internal resale or buyback program, we are committed to helping owners navigate this process safely and responsibly. We’re pleased to offer a range of safe and trustworthy exit resources, available here.

Additionally, BGV is proud to work with the American Resort Development Association (ARDA)— the trade association and governing body for the vacation ownership industry. ARDA’s members, which include developers, resellers, title companies, and service providers, adhere to a strict Code of Ethics designed to promote transparency and protect consumers.

For a list of vetted, reputable ARDA-member resellers, go here.

As always, if you have any questions or would like assistance evaluating your options, please contact BGV’s Accounts Receivable Management Team at 888-783-8883 Ext. 3048.
