Grand Timber Lodge Property Info
Letter from the Assistant General Manager
With fall in the books, it’s time to trade golden leaves for fresh powder! The days may be getting shorter, but the excitement is building as we gear up for another amazing winter season. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for bluebird skies, cozy nights, and endless turns on the mountain.
Here is what’s going on around the property:
- We added a booking kiosk for the Refresh Massage Studio in the lobby. This has provided a more convenient experience for our guests to receive a spa treatment during their stay.
- Our Engineering department has installed a new drainage system by the Rob Millisor bench in the grilling area outside of Building 5. There has been a systemic leak that comes into the hallway. By doing this project in-house, thousands of dollars in contractor labor were saved.
- The pool table in the Grand Room has been re-felted.
- We have integrated our post travel surveys with an AI platform to help us better understand the voice of the customer. This saves us countless hours of manually compiling trends with comments and allows us to quickly close the loop on actionable feedback.
- Our Engineering department installed a new set of French drains on the east side of Building 6. This was the third subterranean project that has been completed in the past year to help maintain the structural integrity of Building 6.
- We installed sod on the west side of Building 6. This is the area that was dug up last summer. With this sod finally in place the area is fully brought together.
- We have undergone extensive concrete repairs on the stair sets outside of Activities and the Boot Saloon. The top of each stair set has been completely rebuilt upon recommendation from our risk advisor.
- We are continuing to see stronger than anticipated savings in natural gas due to the capital investments completed over the past two years. Through August we are nearly $70K under budget. We are excited to continue to look for ways to move the needle on our utility bills.
Winter is here, and Keystone is already open! We can’t wait for those powder-filled days and all the unforgettable memories waiting to be made with you and your families. As the snow starts to fall, please remember to check weather updates and road conditions before heading up—safe travels and see you on the slopes!
We welcome your feedback and suggestions on how to make Grand Timber Lodge a better place for you and your family. You may always send ideas to eli@grandtimber.com for consideration!
