Grand Lodge on Peak 7 Property Information

Quarter 2 2024

Letter from the Assistant General Manager

Greetings from your family in Breckenridge!

The Grand Lodge on Peak 7 is pleased to share a few updates with our owners:

  • What a grand ski season it has been! Winter Mountain operations will continue to run out of Peak 7 until early May. We look forward to seeing many owners up here for some late-season, slushy laps before our wonderful wildflower season kicks off this summer.
  • Our concierge team is happy to assist with booking summer activities. We always recommend checking with them ahead of your arrival to ensure the best dates and times are available when booking rafting adventures, horseback riding, or any other fun summer activity! The concierge desk will also be a great resource for hiking and biking trail recommendations.
  • We all know summer is a perfect time to get out in nature and explore Colorado, but it’s also a great time to decompress with a relaxing massage. Soothe Spa is happy to help book your services. While there can be openings during your visit, we always recommend calling ahead to check availability.
  • Breckenridge will be hosting several fun events this summer, including the Breckenridge Agave Festival on June 28 – 30th, the Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival on July 13th, and the Independence Day Celebration in town on July 4th. For more information and updates, please visit the Go Breck Website
  • Farmer’s Markets will begin opening around Summit County very soon! The Town of Dillon Farmers Market is slated to open June 7th and the Town of Breck Sunday Market plans to open June 9th. Please visit their respective websites for locations, hours, and other information.
  • As it starts to be slightly quieter around Breck, we use this opportunity to do deep cleaning and preventative maintenance. Please look at the Resort Advisements on your owner portal to see what closures may occur during your spring visit.
  • We have begun installing Staycast in our residences. We hope to have this new casting capability up and running soon. Once complete, you will be able to open Netflix, Hulu, or other streaming services on your personal device and cast them onto your screen in your room! Additionally, DVD players have been removed from residences and are now available upon request. Please don’t hesitate to request one from the front desk and our engineers will gladly install one for you.
  • We will be resealing the remaining portion of our Ground-Level Garage starting May 4th. During that time, our Ground-Level Garage will be closed, but our Basement-Level Garage and outdoor North Lot will both be open.
  • The Grand Lodge continues to find cost savings and generate revenue to offset rising costs. For example, we’ve partnered with an expense reduction analytics company to find economies of scale. We’re also working with a few different energy reduction companies to find efficiencies in our systems, which has already shown savings this year.
  • Please remember that the Breck Connect Gondola will close on April 30th and reopen when the Peak 8 base area begins summer operations. Our shuttle and town buses are still operating to take you to/from town. One reason the gondola closes is to provide a safe place with no human disturbance to Cucumber Gulch, a vital habitat for many native Colorado animals. Keep an eye on the Epic Discovery Website once the winter season wraps up for the most up-to-date information about the Summer Adventure Park.

We always welcome your feedback and suggestions for how to make the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 a better place for you and your family. Please send any thoughts to ayoder@breckgv.com for consideration!

Important Owner Reminder

Some of our valued BGV owners have recently reported unsolicited cold calls, letters, and emails from companies offering fractional real estate ownership exit options. Unfortunately, some of these companies are not legitimate, so we encourage you to promptly report any suspicious forms of communication to BGV’s Accounts Receivable Management Team at 888-783-8883 Ext. 3048.

Here are some basic indicators and tips from the Colorado State Attorney General’s Office to help protect you from potential scams:

  1. You receive unsolicited offers with promises such as, but not limited to “We have a buyer for your ownership” or “We guarantee you will make a large profit on the sale.”
  2. The reseller or transfer company only uses a PO box or other mail forwarding service and won’t provide a physical address.
  3. You are asked to make an immediate and/or up-front payment by wire transfer, money order, or prepaid gift or money card.
  4. Refuse to pay for appraisals, inspections, or other services – scammers use these to avoid state prohibitions on collecting up-front fees and these services are rarely needed to complete an ownership resale or transfer.
  5. The offer suggests an upcoming significant increase in association dues, or other expense increases.
  6. Be wary of any solicitation or offer of purchase that requires you to use a resale, transfer, or escrow company of the buyer’s choice.

We recognize that there are times when an owner needs to exit their fractional real estate ownership, and are pleased to offer the following safe and responsible exit resources: https://www.bgvgrandcentral.com/resources/ownership-transfer/. In addition, please feel free to contact BGV’s Accounts Receivable Management Team at 888-783-8883 Ext. 3048 if you need further assistance.
