Grand Timber Lodge Property Information

Quarter 4 2024

Letter from the Assistant General Manager

While we had a beautiful and warm fall, winter arrived with vigor. Recent snowfall has transformed the mountains from a hiking and biking mecca to the snow-covered mountains we all look forward to skiing. With Breckenridge Ski Resort opening Peak 8 on Friday, November 8, ski season is upon us. If you want something fun to do in town, check out the world-famous Ullr Fest. It’s a fun-filled weekend of celebrating our favorite Norse god, a fun comedy night and breaking the world record for the longest shot ski. For more information, click here

Here is what is going on around the property:

  • We added a bank of lockers to charge electric bike batteries in the Building 5 breezeway. With the large uptick in bikes brought to the property with flammable lithium-ion batteries, we wanted to give our guests an alternative charging location than their rooms. These lockers each have an outlet built in and allow you to set your own unique code.
  • Breckenridge Grand Vacations and the Grand Timber Lodge received the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 8 Pollution Prevention Recognition Award. This award was given for the modifications made to the GTL snowmelt system, which lowered natural gas usage, resulting in fewer greenhouse gas emissions and energy savings for the GTLOA.
  • We have begun the process of switching out the living room lamps. With these new lamps, the living rooms really come together and address the issue of lack of lighting by the sectionals that we have received.
  • The Board of Directors elected Matt Charley as the new Vice President. He has been a highly contributing member of the board and Advisory Committee for multiple years and moves into this new role with lots of support.
  • The 2025 budget was passed by the Board of Directors. Please look for a letter of ratification coming soon.
