Rootstalk
Rootstalk is relatively new to Breckenridge (established December 2020), but they are the talk of the town. The chef, Matt Vawter, grew up in Summit County and is our new hometown hero. The restaurant is situated on Main Street in a Victorian house built in 1889, making it quintessentially Breckenridge. It is not only their location that makes them special- their menu is exquisite. With a slogan of ‘elevated everyday dining,’ their style could be described as upscale comfort food.
For this year’s Christmas menu, Rootstalk will be offering a 5-course tasting menu for the entirety of the dining room on Christmas Eve; there will be no a la carte options available. The cost will be $125 per person with wine pairing options available for $100 per person.

The Carlin
The Carlin is Breckenridge’s latest addition to the upscale dining scene, debuting in the summer of 2023. This culinary gem offers “American Coastal Cuisine,” boasting a raw bar, a wood-fired oven, a stylish bar, and a cocktail lounge. The menu is filled with tasty seafood items, capturing the essence of the coast and delivering it straight to your plate. Seafood enthusiasts are in for a treat, as The Carlin’s dishes feature options from clams and crab cakes to flavorful grouper and tender cod.
For their Christmas special, available on December 24 and 25, The Carlin will be offering elk chops with juniper crust, served with savory bread pudding, red beets, broccolini, and a blackberry demiglaze. The special dessert is cherry tart with amaretto anglaise and vanilla gelato. Elk chops are $65, cherry tart is $14.

Spencer’s Steak and Spirits
Located in Beaver Run Resort, at the base of Peak 9, Spencer’s Steaks and Spirits honors George E. Spencer, the founder of the Town of Breckenridge. Their menu staples are the classics- classic cocktails and classic steakhouse favorites. Spencer’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner just steps from the slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort.
On Christmas Day from noon to 7 p.m., Spencer’s will serve a “medley of festive-themed feasts” buffet to get you in the holiday spirit! Dinner is $81 per person. On December 23, Spencer’s will also have a fun Breakfast with Santa. Adults are $22, children $15.

Twist
Twist is a unique and upscale hidden gem tucked away on Ridge Street! Their location in a historic home provides the perfect cozy atmosphere for you to indulge in the delectable menu options presented to you. Twist is a chef-owned craft restaurant specializing in fish and game and focusing on seasonal, fresh, and local produce. If you haven’t paid them a visit yet, be sure to add Twist to your list!
For Christmas Eve dinner this year, Twist offers a pre-fixed three-course dinner for $105 per person. Twist has provided us with a sample menu to give a look into what to expect for dinner. Their inventive menu focuses on game and fish; their Christmas Even menu will surely be a showstopper!

Aurum
Located near downtown Breckenridge on Ridge Street, Aurum is known for taking a classic selection and making it extraordinary. Aurum seems unassuming from the exterior, but once you head inside, you’ll notice its modern elegance immediately. Opened in 2018, Aurum quickly became a favorite date-night spot in Summit County. Our ideal dinner at Aurum would be a starter of crispy curried cauliflower, followed by pan-seared duck breast while sipping on one of their smoked orange old-fashioned. Yum!
Aurum will offer its new seasonal a la carte menu and a Christmas feature this year on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They haven’t posted their menu just yet, but given their exquisite regular menu, we have no doubt that their Christmas meal will be unforgettable!

Radicato
If you liked Rootstalk, you’re going to love Radicato! Embark on a journey to the heart of the Italian mountains with Radicato, the dining sensation in Breckenridge from the chef behind Rootstalk. Radicato invites guests to taste the authentic flavors of “mountain Italian” cuisine, expertly crafted and served in a stunning upscale dining setting that offers breathtaking views of the Riverwalk and downtown Breckenridge.
For Christmas Eve Radicato will offer a 5-course, family-style tasting menu for $125 per person. A la carte menus will not be available on this night. Wine pairings are optional and will be offered at an additional charge of $100 per person.

Sevens
Owners of Grand Lodge on Peak 7 are no strangers to Sevens! Located in Grand Lodge on Peak 7, just steps from the slopes and the gondola, Sevens is a full-service restaurant offering upscale casual dining.
Sevens will offer a Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner this year. Their menu offers appetizer options of crab cake, butternut squash bisque, lobster bisque, or Caesar salad. For the main course, indulge in your choice of New York strip with au jus, roasted herb panko lamb, or short rib with celery root. Click here to view their holiday menu. The cost for this holiday dining experience is $95 for adults $55 for children under 10.
