Grand Colorado on Peak 8 Property Information

2024 Quarter 3

Letter from the Assistant General Manager

Greetings from Breckenridge!

As back-to-school season approaches for many families, we want to reflect on the beautiful summer we’ve had in the mountains. It’s been a season of sunny days, great weather, and ample time spent outdoors. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during the occasional afternoon thunderstorms, which sometimes require us to close the pool areas. Your safety is our top priority, and these closures are necessary due to the fast-moving storms in the high country.

We’re also excited to share updates on our sustainability efforts, particularly regarding the Town of Breckenridge’s single-use plastic ban. You may have noticed a change in the Lobby area with the introduction of small blue cups at the water filling station. These cups have significantly reduced the number of single-use cups in landfills. You can use these cups throughout the day in our common areas—grab one for a post-workout drink or a quick refreshment by the pool. Reusing a cup even a few times a day makes a big difference.

Additionally, we have new plastic cups at the The Lobby Bar and Elev8 Lounge and Bar, designed for use in the pool areas. Please return these cups to our designated pickup stations after use. Ullr Café is also participating in these changes, and all cups there meet the new standards of the Town of Breckenridge. You might notice that iced drinks are now served in paper cups; this is part of our ongoing efforts to reduce plastic use.

At the Grand Colorado on Peak 8, we are always looking to keep our resort in tip-top shape to improve the owner experience. Here are a few things we have been working on over the last quarter:

  • We have installed a new in-room TV system with several free apps, including Paramount +, Showtime, Hallmark TV, YouTube, Music Choice, and DirecTV On-Demand. In addition, owners and guests can log in to their personal Netflix or Amazon Prime accounts or cast using Google Chromecast.
  • Breckenridge Grand Vacations and Ullr Café have partnered with Breckenridge Coffee Roasters to serve locally roasted coffee!
  • Many of the paper towel dispensers around the resort have been replaced. The new dispensers do not require batteries, which is a more sustainable option and helps save the HOA money.
  • The glycol in the buildings 1 and 2 boilers for the domestic hot water loop has been replaced. This update was essential in extending the life of the boilers.
  • The tables and chairs in the Courtyard Grilling Patio have been replaced with outdoor composite furniture that matches the Elev8 Lounge and the Aquatics areas.
  • We have added a new gift basket option to our menu featuring a bottle of Grand Colorado on Peak 8 Signature Bourbon Blend by Breckenridge Distillery! Contact Owner Relations if you would like to purchase the Bourbon Basket for your reservation.
  • Robbie’s Tavern has a new kitchen manager, Bruce, who has been hard at work adding additional food options and weekend dinner specials. Welcome to the team, Bruce!

As we all know, there is so much to do on the resort’s property, but the Town of Breckenridge and Summit County also have much to offer. This quarter, we have the Breckenridge Wine Classic, Breckenridge Hogfest, Oktoberfest, and more! Check out the BGV Owner blog for additional events in the area.

We look forward to seeing you on property again soon!
