Letter from the Assistant General Manager

Greetings from Breckenridge! Winter is just around the corner, and there is a lot of excitement in the air. The mountains are beginning to take on their snowy glow, signaling the start of another unforgettable ski season in Breckenridge. Locals and visitors alike are gearing up for early morning runs, cozy après ski moments, and festive gatherings that define this time of year in the Rockies.

Breckenridge Ski Resort is slated to open on November 7, marking the official start of winter in town. The excitement builds as Keystone and Arapahoe Basin have already opened for the season. Copper Mountain will join Breckenridge on November 7, while Vail and Beaver Creek will open shortly thereafter, rounding out an exciting start to ski season across the Rockies.

As snow begins to blanket the peaks, winter activities around the resort come to life. The ice rink at GC8 is anticipated to open the week of Thanksgiving, weather and ice-making conditions permitting, just in time for guests to enjoy a beloved seasonal tradition. The festive spirit continues through December with the Lighting of Breckenridge and the Race of the Santas on December 6, followed by the town’s signature Ullr Fest celebrations from December 18 to 20. It’s truly one of the most magical times to experience Breckenridge.

Resort Updates

We’re thrilled to share that new residences on the 5th floor of Building 1 are nearing completion and will be opening soon. These units reflect our continued commitment to providing luxurious, comfortable spaces that truly feel like home. In addition, we’re excited to announce that a brand-new Escape Room experience will debut at the resort by the end of the year, offering a new, fun and challenging experience for families and groups looking for a unique indoor activity to escape the cold.

As winter settles in, our team is hard at work ensuring every detail across the property shines, from seasonal maintenance and décor to thoughtful touches that make each stay exceptional. Whether you’re here to hit the slopes, unwind in the hot tubs, or simply watch the snow fall from your balcony, we’re ready to make your time at GC8 memorable.

As always, our Concierge and Activities teams are happy to help you plan the perfect stay, whether that means booking ski rentals, arranging spa treatments, or finding the best spots in town for dining and après.

Day Use Parking & Authorized User Feature

As we gear up for a busy winter, here are a few important reminders about Day Use parking and an exciting new feature we think you’ll love!

Day Use Reminder: Parking is available by reservation only. These benefits allow you and your immediate family to enjoy the resort amenities even when you’re not staying overnight, perfect for a spontaneous ski day or a relaxing afternoon at the pools and hot tubs.

To ensure a great experience for everyone, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  • Day Use is available only to Club Members and their immediate family (parents and children). Guests or invitees outside your immediate family are not eligible.
  • Registration is required upon arrival at the Concierge Desk, where you’ll receive your Resort Privileges pass.
  •  The Member must be present at all times while using Resort Privileges; guests are not permitted to remain at the resort without the Member’s presence.
  • A maximum of eight (8) people per Club Member may use Resort Privileges on any given day. This means the owner can have up to 7 guests.
  • Members under 21 are not eligible to check in for Resort Privileges.
  • Parking is limited — please call ahead or check online for availability up to seven (7) days before your visit. One parking pass will be issued per Club Member, if space allows.
  • Failure to register or to follow these guidelines may result in the loss of future Day Use privileges.

New: Authorized User Feature

We’re thrilled to introduce Authorized Users—a new feature in Grand Central designed to make Day Use check-ins even easier for your family!

Owners listed on the deed can now add their parents or adult children to their account as Authorized Users. When booking Day Use parking, you can assign the reservation to your Authorized User, who simply shows a valid photo ID at check-in.
