Ski season is finally here!
We couldn’t be more eager to feel some much-needed excitement in the air with the sound of the snow guns, as well as the silent beauty of the natural snow that has fallen, preparing for Opening Day 2020! We also would like to announce the installation of our new Ullr sculpture at the base of Peak 8, just steps from the Colorado and Rocky Mountain Superchair outside the Ullr Cafe. “Ullr” (rhymes with “cooler”) is the Norse God of Snow, and during this installation with world-renowned artist, Andy Scott, the snow just kept falling! Breckenridge has strapped on Viking helmets and paid tribute to Ullr for over 57 years, in hopes to be rewarded handsomely with all things snow. Breckenridge honors Ullr each year during Ullr Fest, and this year the event is December 9-19—we are very excited to be a part of it with our new installation. Enjoy a few clips from the installation day below and visit Ullr Breck for more details on all things Ullr in Breckenridge this year.
We know you and your family will be taking lots of pictures with Ullr in the coming seasons. We can’t wait to have you share them with us using the hashtag #ullrbreck!
Our resorts and staff are ready for this season as we continue to make your health and safety our number one priority. If you want an update on our BGV Shines protocols, please click here and know that BGV continues to set the gold standard with innovative technology and protocols to ensure your family will be safe while on vacation.
We continue to hope you and your families are healthy, safe and happy. We can’t wait to see you on the slopes soon!
Sincerely,
Mike and Mike
