View from the Bottom
At BGV, we are hopeful this new year is finding you happy and healthy. I have recently been sharing the phrase “anything is possible” with family, friends and our BGV community as we keep a strong lens of hope as we go about our days. Some bright lights are that local community cases of COVID-19 are on the decline, a vaccine is in distribution and more and more of our owners’ smiling faces are present at our resorts.
Even with the hardships caused by the pandemic, one of the undeniable truths that remains is that Breckenridge is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is your home away from home, and all of us at BGV hope you have found some respite while spending time here. There is a famous quote by outdoor enthusiast John Muir that says, “The mountains are calling and I must go.” Time with family and friends in the high country provides a certain calm and sense of belonging. It is a reminder of just how special this time is, and the memories made can be cherished for a lifetime.
Amidst the positivity of hope, times do remain challenging for many. That is why this January, I chose to share my own journey of taking back control of my life from alcohol and in doing so, finding hope and inspiration. I am sharing it with you in a community-wide campaign called, “Faces of Hope.” It is my sincere desire to inspire others and to be a resource for those facing a similar hardship. My “Faces of Hope” story can be found here: https://buildinghopesummit.org/about/hope/mike-dudick
Whatever inspires you this new year, we would love to see you enjoy some time with those you love and get the opportunity to breathe in some fresh mountain air. I hope you, too, can remain hopeful and inspired by all that is possible in 2021.
Sincerely,
Mike and Mike
