Greetings from Breckenridge!

We are excited to have the ski resort open and winter operations going! This year was a special year for the ski area as some much-anticipated changes took place through the summer to improve the base area operations at Peak 8. The first is a new and improved learning area. This new learning area location makes it easier for first-time skiers and snowboarders to find their learning location and an easier walk. Another fantastic change to the base area is the upgrade to Chair 5. This chair used to be a slow-speed chair that dropped riders off near the top of the terrain park. By upgrading this chair to a high-speed quad chair and moving up the drop-off area, skiers can get up the mountain faster and connect over to Peak 9! Next time you are on the property, take a test ride!

Even though the ski area is working hard to make as much snow as possible to set up the resort with a great base – it is now time to look to Ullr to bring us some snow! Ullr Fest is a unique and fun event in Breckenridge this year on December 7-9. This event includes many activities, including the World’s Longest Shot Ski, Ullr Parade, a Bonfire, Concerts, and more! Visit gobreck.com for an official schedule. We are proud to share that our own Ullr Café will be hosting a float in the parade with team members from the resort. Since Ullr lives (statue outside Ullr Café) at GC8, we must show our pride and look to Ullr to bring snow!
