As construction continues at the Imperial Hotel & Private Residences, I’m excited to share a closer look at two of the distinctive amenities planned for the property: The Vault Speakeasy and the Sky Domes.
Located behind a discreet entrance, The Vault will provide owners and guests with an intimate place to gather and enjoy time together. The space will feature a dramatic circular bar, warm lighting, rich finishes and comfortable seating throughout. Its unique setting and sense of discovery will make The Vault an experience unlike any other at the Imperial.
Outside, the Sky Domes will offer another memorable way to experience the property. Located within a landscaped courtyard, these transparent domes will create warm, private spaces where owners and guests can gather throughout the year. From a winter snowfall to a clear summer night, the domes will provide a comfortable way to enjoy Breckenridge’s mountain setting in every season.
The Sky Domes feel especially fitting following Breckenridge’s designation as a Certified Dark Sky Community by DarkSky International in August 2025. The certification recognizes the town’s work to reduce light pollution, use responsible outdoor lighting and protect the nighttime environment. These efforts help preserve views of the stars while also supporting wildlife and reducing unnecessary energy use.
From discovering The Vault to gathering beneath the stars in a Sky Dome, these amenities reflect the one-of-a-kind experiences being thoughtfully planned throughout the Imperial.
